Modified Wide Release:
- Film will open in only a few markets
- awareness builds week to week
- engagements at limited number of screens
- relies on positive word-of-mouth reputation to develope - moves slowly to additional theatres
For advertising, location, ad size and frequency is KEY
- The cost of thearetical distribution, met by local distributors are referred to as "P+A"
- P+A are the nuts and bolts of marketing and distributing films into cinemas, it's the tools used by distibutors to create a public for it's films
- P+A also represents the bulk of the distributor's investment
